Th​e Big Ben is famous for its reliable clock (which you can also set your watch by) and is also one of London's most famous landmarks. The Big Ben was built because The Palace of Westminster burned down in October 1834, and the Parliament needed to find a new place to meet so they decided to build the Clock Tower which took 34 years to build.
